If you are planning to enroll in a math course at SCC, a placement test is no longer required. Once you have completed the Guided Self-Placement tool, you will receive an e-mail within 3-5 working days (weekends and holidays excluded) with course recommendations. Shortly after submitting a complete application to attend SCC and receiving your Welcome Letter, you will receive an e-mail with instructions on how to access and complete the Guided Self-Placement tool. If you have been out of high school for more than ten (10) years or fall into other circumstances where the high school performance method cannot be applied, you will need to complete the Guided Self-Placement process.
